After the Model S sedan, the Model X is intended to meet the trend towards an SUV. The X-version is a mixture of van and large SUV and is characterized by even more extravagant features than the sedan. The most striking feature: the rear wing doors.

Here, Tesla has made an almost absurd mechanical, sensory and electronic effort in order to achieve the best possible practicality.

The doors have additional joints above the windows in order to be able to open even in a small lateral space. The room above the Model X is checked with sensors so that the doors do not touch a ceiling when opened. The front doors can also be opened automatically so that everything runs without scratching, the sides are monitored with cameras.

With all the impressive automated door movements, it almost goes down that you can get in and out comfortably and that you will find good space in the interior and a lot of leather and Alcantara.

As with the Model S, the operation takes getting used to and the huge touchscreen on the dashboard is the central control element geared to the smartphone generation.

Of course, the Model X can also drive, and quite comfortably, without becoming a juice. The acceleration from the stand is impressive, thanks to all-wheel drive, the over 2.5 tons are catapulted to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds.

The battery with 100 kWh capacity allows ranges between 400 and 500 km in everyday life, but a high-current connection or a supercharger should be available for charging. After all, who wants to store such an impressive car for days.
